    What can I wear?

    All guests entering the water must wear proper swim attire. This includes swimsuits, board shorts, swim trunks, rash guards, surf shirts, bikinis, tankinis, and speedos. Attire that is not allowed includes basketball shorts, denim, t-shirts, tank tops, regular street clothing, and anything with grommets or zippers.

    Can I bring in my own food or a cooler?

    Outside food, drinks, snacks, and candy are not allowed inside the facility. There is a concession stand available to purchase delicious meals and drinks.

    Are there lockers available? How much are they?

    Lockers are available for $7.00 that can be purchased at the front counter or in the retail shop, Captain’s Quarters.

    What is a cabana?

    A cabana is a shade structure that is available for rent during the time you are in the waterpark. Payment made reserves your cabana during regular waterpark hours on the day you choose. Click here for more information on renting cabanas.

    What are the age/height restrictions?

    The only age restrictions we have are: anyone under the age of 13 must have a responsible adult with them at the facility and parents must actively supervise children 6 years and younger or persons needing supervision. For height restrictions, please visit our Attractions page.

    Do I bring my own life vest?

    We are proud to offer life vests free with admission for those who need it. Outside life vests may have contaminants that may disburse into the water at The Cove which could lead to an unsanitary chemical imbalance.

    Are floaties allowed?

    Floaties are not allowed to be used within the facility but there are lifejackets available for use.

    Can I bring my own shade?

    Umbrellas and other personal shade structures are not permitted within the facility. Cabanas are only available for rental.

    Do I need to bring something to sit on?

    There are ample chairs, loungers, and benches provided within the facility. You may bring your own small chairs but The Cove Waterpark does not assume responsibility if personal property is lost or stolen.

    Do you provide towels?

    The Cove Waterpark does not provide towels to guests. Please be advised that you should bring your own.

    How much are tube rentals for the river?

    Inner tubes are available at no extra cost within the park.

    Are there family discounts?

    There are not family discounts for daily admission but there are discounts available on Season passes when 4 or more are purchased in the same transaction for family members within the same household.

    What is Captain's Quarters?

    Captain’s Quarters is a small retail shop that carries items often forgotten on a trip to the waterpark and Cove logo items to show your support.

    What can I purchase at the retail shop?

    Captain’s Quarters sells t-shirts, bathing suits of all sizes, men’s and boy’s swim attire, goggles, hats, sunglasses, sunblock and more.

    Do I have to pay for parking?

    Parking is free!

    What do I do if the parking lot is full?

    There is parking available on the streets near the waterpark. The Cove Waterpark is not responsible for damaged or stolen property.

    How safe is The Cove?

    The Cove prides itself on its commitment to safety. Along with the 20+ lifeguards within the waterpark, our staff undergoes monthly safety trainings and works hand-in-hand with local emergency services personnel.

    What do I do once I get to The Cove?

    The first thing that you should do is check-in at the front counter. You can then head over to Captain’s Quarters, the retail shop, to purchase anything you may have forgotten such as sunblock or a locker token. Once you have everything you need, find your spot on the deck nestled into some lounge chairs or on an inner tube in the Ne’er Endin’ River. Basically just settle in for a great, fun-filled day with friends or family.

    At what age can I drop off my child at The Cove?

    Children must be at least 13 years of age or older to be without an adult (18 years +) chaperone within the waterpark. Children under 13 years of age may not be inside the facility without an adult chaperone.

    Do I need to supervise my child inside The Cove?

    The Cove crew is responsible for the safety of everyone within the facility and enjoy interactive supervision of children by adults to help prevent injuries and accidents.

Parties, Groups & Rentals FAQ

    How many people are needed for a group rate?

    You need at least 10 guests to get a group rate if you purchase other party package components. If you do not include other party package components in your purchase you must have at least 20 guests to qualify for a group rate.

    Why do I need a cabana for my party?

    A cabana is necessary to have with your party in order to give your group their own space and so the cabana servers know where to take your food and check in with you.

    What is the difference between cabana and a pavilion?

    Pavilions are larger shade structures that encompass a bit more space and chairs. Cabanas are a little bit more luxurious and comfortable for smaller groups or families.

    Do I pay for the birthday person?

    The birthday person is free if you have a minimum of 10 other guests is your party.

    What is included in a party?

    The most basic party package includes admission, meals and a cabana. With that you also get cabanas service and additional food ordered from the cabana server is an additional fee. Please click here to view party and cabana fees.

Pool, Lap & Rec FAQ

    What is the difference between lap swimming and recreational swimming?

    Lap swim is a time for patrons to utilize pool space in order to work out. This can be swimming laps, treading water or water walking. Recreational swimming is a time for fun and different activities such as playing tag, racing or jumping off of the diving board.

    Do I get my own lane for lap swim?

    There are some times that you may have your own lane. Other times you may need to share a lane for lap swimming by circle swimming. Circle swimming is when you always swim on the right side, like when you are always driving on the right side of the road.

    What if I want my own lane?

    In order to have your own lane for lap swim, you may consider coming at a non-peak time such as during the morning. If this does not work with your schedule, you can ask to speak with a pool supervisor about renting a lane.

    Can I coach my child during lap swimming?

    There is no outside coaching allowed during the designated lap or rec swim times. You may join one of the teams that practice at The Cove or you can speak with a pool supervisor about renting a lane.

    Can I pay for lap or rec swimming and teach private lessons?

    There is no outside coaching allowed during the designated lap or rec swim times. You may join one of the teams that practice at JAC or you can speak with a pool supervisor about renting a lane.

    Can I bring my own equipment to swim with?

    Generally, guests may bring their own equipment to use during lap swim as long as it does not break any existing Jurupa Aquatic Center rules and it is safe to use. The aquatic crew members on duty will have the final say as to whether equipment can be used during lap swim or rec swim.

    What kind of equipment can I bring?

    Guests may bring any equipment to lap swim but aquatics staff may ask certain types of equipment not be used as they may be dangerous if not used appropriately.

    Are there restrictions as to what I can do?

    Guests may not distract other guests from participation in other programs. During lap swim you may not use the diving boards. During Rec Swim guests may not use the diving blocks.

    Yes, there are locker rooms with showers on site.
