The American Red Cross Lifeguarding program is your first step in becoming a lifeguard! Through online worksheets, videos, group discussion, and hands-on practice, you’ll learn guest rescue and surveillance skills, first aid and CPR/AED.

Session 1:
April 14: 4pm-8pm
April 15: 8am-6pm
April 16: 8am-6pm

May 5: 4pm-8pm
May 6: 8am-6pm
May 7: 8am-6pm

Prerequisites

Must be at least 15 years old AND be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Swim 300 yards continuously using front crawl and breaststroke
  • 2-minutes of treading water with legs only and no support
  • Swim 20 yards, surface dive in at least 9 feet of water, retrieve a 10lb brick, return to the starting position with brick and both hands out of the water, and climb out on to the deck in under 100 seconds

If successful, participants will earn:

  • American Red Cross 2 year CPR/AED certification
  • American Red Cross 2 year Lifeguarding & First Aid certification
