Welcome Message!

Captain JAC and his crew would like to welcome you to The Cove Waterpark!


The Riverside County Regional Park and Open-Space District would like to welcome you to The Cove Waterpark, a Caribbean themed aquatic center.  The Cove Waterpark offers a variety of activities for every member of your family.  Captain’s Bay is a centrally located activity pool.  Guests can also float along our Ne’er Endin’ River or descend from the 3 slides located at Crow’s Nest.  You can also experience the thrill of surfing with FlowRider® in our Riptide Reef.  The Lil’ Mate Lagoon is geared for younger guests and consist of a pirate-themed splash playground.

Rides and Attractions

-       Captain’s Bay – an activity pool in the middle of the “Shipwreck Island”

-       Lil’ Mate’s Lagoon – a pirate-themed splash playground geared towards young children

-       Ne’er Endin’ River – a continuous river that consists of a shallow pool that flows similarly to a river.

-       Crow’s Nest – a slippery slide tower featuring three exciting slides to choose from. Each slide is 180 feet of fun!

Height & Weight Requirements

-       Lil’ Mate’s Lagoon: 36” for small green slide, 40” for blue and red slides, 300 lbs. maximum weight.

-       Ne’er Endin’ River:  Under 48” must wear a lifejacket AND be accompanied by a responsible adult.

-       Crow’s Nest Slides: 48”, 300 lbs. maximum weight

-       Riptide Reef (FlowRider®): 42” for body boarding, 52” to “surf”/stand up ride, 300 lbs. maximum weight.

  

General Rules

The following rules are enforced to maintain a safe and fun environment for all of The Cove – Jurupa Aquatic Center guests:


·       No Running.

·       No Diving.

·       No Horseplay.

·       Guest must abide by all posted rules and regulations.

·       No coolers, glass containers, outside food, drinks or chewing gum.

·       All bags will be searched prior to entry into The Cove – Jurupa Aquatic  Center

·       Adult supervision is required at all times. 

o   Children 12 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older at a maximum of a 2 children (non-swimmers) per 1 adult ratio.

·       All guests are required to pay the admission fee, regardless of intention to use the pools or other attractions.     

·       Same Day Re-entry is permitted with valid admission receipt or hand stamp.

·       The Cove – Jurupa Aquatic Center is a family-friendly facility.  Inappropriate behavior, language or attire are not permitted and will be grounds for refusing admission or removal from the Center without refund.

·       The Cove – Jurupa Aquatic Center is a drug and tobacco free park.  Drug and tobacco items are not permitted in or around the park.

·       The Cove – Jurupa Aquatic Center is not responsible for lost or stolen items.  Guests are encouraged to use on-site lockers to store personal items.

·       For guest protection, use of recording devices (cameras, video cameras and cell phones) is strictly prohibited in locker room areas and restrooms.

·       Rides and attractions are scheduled to close 15 minutes prior to The Cove-Jurupa Aquatic Center closing time.

Dress Code

·       Traditional swimwear is required.  Provocative attire, street clothes, cut-offs, and clothing with rivets, snaps, buttons, belts or metal ornamentation are not permitted.

·       Swim diapers (disposable swim diapers or plastic pants) are required for all diapered guests.

·       Outside flotation devices (water wings, life vests, inflatable tubes, etc.) are not permitted.  Life jackets and inflatable tubes are available at no cost inside The Cove – Jurupa Aquatic Center. 

·       Snorkels, goggles and/or fins are not permitted.

·       Guests are encouraged to wear water shoes while walking around The Cove – Jurupa Aquatic Center grounds and in the “Ne’er Endin’ River”.  Shoes are not permitted to be worn on any slides or other attractions. 

Health & Safety

·       All guests must shower before entering the water.

·       Guests that have experience stomach and/or intestinal illness within the past two weeks should not enter the water.

·       Guests with open wounds or bandages will not be permitted to enter the water. 

·       Guests are required to wash their hands after using the restroom and/or after changing a diaper.  Diaper changing on or around the pool deck is not permitted. 

·       Do not drink the water from the pool.  Drinking fountains are available for water consumption.

·       The Cove – Jurupa Aquatic Center staff shall have the final authority in all matters concerning the safety of the pool and parks guests. 

 

Inclement Weather

Thunder, lightning and rain, oh my!  The Cove may suspend or close due to inclement weather.  Once conditions are safe for our guests to return to the water, The Cove will re-open.  When bad weather strikes, check our web-site, Facebook or Twitter (links) page for closure updates.  You can even call prior to visiting us at 951-360-1974.


Refunds will not be issued for weather related suspensions or closures.


Directions, Parking and Hours

-       Where is The Cove?

o   The Cove is located at the intersection of Mission Blvd. and Camino Real.  The address is 4310 Camino Real, Riverside, CA 92509.

-       Is there a parking fee?

o   Parking is always free at The Cove.

-       When is The Cove open?

o   The Cove is now closed for the winter. Check back in the Spring for deals on Summer Pre-Sale items!

-       Who can I contact if I have questions about The Cove?

o   Prior to your arrival, feel free to contact a crewmember using our Contact Page or call 951-360-1974.

o   Once you arrive, any crewmember at The Cove can assist you with questions, comments, or concerns.    

Cost and Admission

-       I am not going to swim.  Do you have a spectator rate?

o   The Cove does not offer discounts to guests who choose not to swim. All guests must pay the admission fee.

-       What form of payment is accepted?

o   The Cove accepts cash, personal checks, Visa and MasterCard. 

-       May I leave and re-enter The Cove without a charge?

o   Same Day Re-entry is permitted with valid wristband.

 

Amenities, Services and Food

-       May I bring my own flotation devices?

o   The Cove does not allow outside flotation devices. The Cove provides lifejackets of all sizes and tubes for the river.

-       Does The Cove provide life jackets?

o   The Cove provides life jackets at no additional cost.

-       May I bring my own food?

o   Guests are not permitted to bring outside food and beverage into The Cove.

-       Are there concessions stands located within The Cove?

o   Backyard Grille is a full service concession located within The Cove.  Backyard Grille offers a variety of hot, fresh and made to order grilled items.  The menu also offers fountain beverages, smoothies and snacks.

-       Is The Cove ADA compliant and handicap accessible?

o   The Cove’s general entrance and exit facilities are available for handicapped guests.  Our rides and attractions have limited access.  Our crewmembers will make every reasonable effort to accommodate handicapped guests within our safety guidelines. Contact a crewmember using our Contact Page or call 951-360-1974 prior to your visit, so that we may make arrangements.   

-       Does The Cove provide First-Aid and Lost & Found facilities?

o   The Cove has a First-Aid station for our guest’s comfort and convenience. 

o   It is the guests’ responsibility to recover their items from Lost & Found. Items will be stored for 7 days at the Guest Services Desk.

Guidelines

-       Is my child required to wear a swim diaper?

o   Diapered guests must wear approved disposable swim diapers or plastic pants. diapered guests must also wear a swim suit.

-       What is the minimum age for dropping off children?

o   Children 12 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older at The Cove.

-       Are there height and weight requirements for the rides and attractions?
